Sept. Activities

Baronial Business Meeting:

7:00 p.m. on the third Wedesday of the month at Battery Park Christian Church. The meetings are open to anyone who would like to attend and become an active part of the Barony.

Fighter Practice and A&S Gather:

7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. every Tuesday night at Battery Park Christian Church. Armored and Rapier combat practice, as well as an arts & science gather is held. Bring your gear or your current project and join the fun.

Archery Practices:

1:00 p.m. every Sunday, weather permitting, at Rockwood Park in Chesterfield. The park is beautiful and the archery range is in the shade of the trees. When rain is expected or the temperature is below 35 or over 95 please check the wesite before going.

Scriptorium: (will update this info at the June barony meeting)

2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the third Saturday of the month, followed up by a pot luck dinner from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The location sometimes changes so please contact Baroness Katerina for the current location.

Sewing Circle: (will update this info each barony meeting)

6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Contact THL Uaithne for location of the next meeting or to host a sewing circle in your home.

Cook's Guild: (will update this info each barony meeting)

Currently, the cooks' guild is not meeting.

College of Yarnvid

Business Meeting:

7:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at The Church of the Epiphany.

Arts and Sciences Gathering:

7:30-9:00 on every Thursday except the second (which is the Business Meeting) at The Church of the Epiphany. Every 4th Thursday is Topic Night where a hands-on class will be taught.

 

 

Canton of Caer Gelynniog

Business Meeting:

Second Sunday each month from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Lady Clarice's home or Caelain & Seamus' house. Email the Seneschal for location & directions.

Fighter Practice:

Archery & Thrown Weapons practice is on the second Sunday each month from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. at Lady Clarice's home.

Heavy Fighting, Rapier, Archery & Thrown Weapons practice is on the fourth Sunday of each month from 2:00 to 4:30pm at Sir Corby's home.

Arts & Sciences Gathering:

Business Meeting:

Third Sunday each month at the Colonial Heights Public Library at 6:00 p.m.

Arts and Sciences Gathering:

First and Third Sunday at the Colonial Heights Public Library at 3:00-6:00 p.m.

Directions to Battery Park Christian Church
4201 Brook Road, Richmond, VA 23227

From North of Richmond: Take I-95 South to the Boulevard Exit (Exit 78). At the bottom of the offramp, make a left onto 161 North. At the next light, make a long right onto Westwood. Once on Westwood, go 1/2 mile to the next light, which is Brook Road. Make a left onto Brook Road. At the second light, you will see the Church across the street to the right.

From East of Richmond: Take I-64 West to I-95 North. The very next exit ramp (less than 1/4 mile after merging onto I-95) is Chamberlain Avenue (Exit 76A). Follow the directions from the South below.

From South of Richmond: Take I-95 North to exit 76A (Chamberlain Avenue). Stay in the center lane on the exit. The road will fork, fork Left onto Brook Road. Follow Brook Road 2.9 miles to Bellvue Road. You will see the Church across the street to your right.

From West of Richmond: Take I-64 East to exit 186 (Laburnum Avenue to Powhite Parkway). Stay to the right and take the Laburnum Ave exit. Follow Laburnum Avenue East. At the fourth stoplight, make a Left onto Brook. The next stoplight is Bellvue. You will see the Church across the street to the right.

Directions to the Church of the Epiphany

The Church of the Epiphany is located approximately 1 and a half miles from the Powhite Parkway interchange at Courthouse Road. Take Courthouse Road (HWY 653) north, going through one traffic light at Lucks Lane. Turn left at light on Smoketree Drive. Take first right into parking lot of Church of the Epiphany.

Directions to Rockwood Park
3401 Courthouse Rd, Richmond, VA 23236 (Chesterfield County)

Find your best route to Hwy 360/Hull Street Road. The park is located just north of Hull Street Rd on Courthouse Rd. Enter the park from either entrance and follow the signs to the archery range. Follow the paved path from the parking lot down the power line clearing and turn right when the path crosses a paved walking path. The range we usually use is the second on the left.
